3. Packaging

Open the packaging carefully and remove the PlasmaMade Airfilter. Check the
filter for deficiencies before fitting. Keep the box for possible return until after an
operational check. Then ensure environmentally friendly processing of the waste
packaging material.
The box contains the following parts:
• PlasmaMade Airfilter GUC1214
Installation and user manual
• Mains adapter with 1.5 metres of flex fitted with a plug
Eccentric mounting adapter, ø 150 mm
Fixing bracket for wall mounting
2 plugs ø 5 mm
2 screws DIN 7981, Phillips 1, ø 2.9 x 19 mm
2 screws DIN 7981, Phillips 2, ø 4.2 x 25 mm

4. Operation of PlasmaMade

The PlasmaMade Airfilter features the Active Air Controlled System – this
is a sensor that reacts to air flow. When you switch on the extractor hood, the
PlasmaMade Airfilter is activated automatically. The indicator lamps on top of the
filter indicate the switching on and off of the filter. See attachment 2.

5. Maintenance

Assuming that the PlasmaMade Airfilter has been installed according to the
instructions, it requires little maintenance. The PlasmaMade Airfilter is cleaned
automatically as soon as it is put into operation. If the outside or the sensor
becomes dirty, it may be cleaned by simply using a vacuum cleaner. There are no
components that need to be replaced periodically. You must follow the maintenance
instructions of your extractor hood. The grease filters must be of a good quality,
always cleaned regularly and in order to prevent contamination of the PlasmaMade
filter.

6. Installation instructions

The PlasmaMade Airfilter can be used on almost all existing and new installed
extractor units. The extractor unit must be suitable for recirculation (the duct or
space the filter is placed in, must feature openings through which the filtered air
can be returned back into the room). We do not recommend these openings to be
directed at the wall or ceiling. Provide a gap of at least 500 mm in between. A mains
socket within a suitable distance (220 V, no earth needed).
