GEARWRENCH Split Rings are only intended for use as part of a tethering system and use with tools meeting the following
specifications:
- Total tool weight under 2 lbs. (0.9kg)
- Tool includes a manufactured drilled tether through hole
- If tool does not include a manufactured tether through hole, split ring can be fitted around tool (for example: a
combination wrench that has a narrow mid-section compared to a top and bottom that is wider, and design will keep
split ring from sliding off after installation)
Installation Instructions on Tools with a tether through hole
1. Always inspect split ring prior to use. If split ring is stretched, or deformed in anyway discard immediately and replace
with a new split ring
2. Once the tether through hole is identified on the tool, with the use of split ring pliers separate the quick ring, to allow it
to be threaded through the tether through hole
3. Thread the split ring through the tether point with the pliers. Continue threading the split ring through the tether
through hole by hand if necessary
4. After the spilt ring is installed into the tether through hole of the tool, examine the split ring and hand tool for any
damage. If it any damage is present on tool or split ring replace prior to using either as part of a tethering system
WARNINGS:
- NEVER use GEARWRENCH split rings to connect anything over 2 lbs. (0.9kg)
- GEARWRENCH split rings are Not Personal Protective Equipment
- Always use GEARWRENCH split rings with the recommended length of tethering accessories
- Do not use GEARWRENCH split rings as part of a tethering system around moving or rotating equipment
- GEARWRENCH Split rings will not support human weight as part of a tether connection point
- Inspect GEARWRENCH split rings for wear before each use. Do not use if evidence of wear.

- Si l'outil n'est pas doté d'un trou d'attache percé en usine, une bague fendue peut être ajustée autour de l'outil
(par exemple, une clé mixte ayant une partie médiane étroite par comparaison à la partie supérieure ou inférieure plus
large, et dont la conception empêchera la bague de glisser hors de l'outil après l'installation)
