Care and maintenance of the
Pro 2000 Adv Stabilizing Jacket
In order to maintain your stabilizing jacket
perfectly efficiently, you must adhere to the
following precautions.
1. Following each dive, including those in
pools or in fresh water like lakes or rivers,
the stabilizing jacket must be rinsed with
fresh running water. The use of de-miner-
alised water is recommended. Also
ensure that all residue salt water is
removed through the quick-acting over-
pressure valve (on the upper right of the
stabilizing jacket). It is also possible for
water to remain trapped between the non-
return valve and the disk gasket (compo-
nents 15 and 18 in the exploded drawing
of the Pro 2000 Adv power inflator). By
activating both grey buttons, the water
will be discharged.
2. We advise that the internal bag be rinsed
periodically with fresh water. In order to
carry out this operation you must disas-
semble the overpressure valve (Drawing
28), and carefully move the membrane on
the flange to introduce fresh running
water (Drawing 29). Then reassemble the
valve and inflate the stabilizing jacket,
turning it upside-down and shaking it to
circulate the water inside. To facilitate
removing the water, we advise inflating
the stabilizing jacket in order to automat-
ically open the overpressure valve and
discharge the water inside (Drawing 30).
Finally, let it dry without exposing it
extensively to direct sunlight.
3. Never leave the stabilizing jacket with
other equipment that may rip or puncture
the bag.
4. Avoid contact with oils, solvents, or gaso-
line.
5. Before each dive, control the correct
functioning of the power inflator and the
overpressure valves (Drawing 31); verify
the seal on the pressure bag.
