Connection to the chimney
EN
To achive the best performance of the insert, the chimney should comply with the following:
Must be clean and clear;
Shold have mechanical resistance and low thermic conductibility;
It must be made of waterproof and high temperature resistant materials;
The chimney should have an equal or greater diameter than the exhaust gases outlet of
the equipment;
The chimney must guarantee a minimum differential pressure of 12 Pa, one meter above the
exhaust gases outlet;
It is recommended to use high temperature resistant silicone (1000 °C) to seal the
chimney joints.
If the equipment is connected to an existing chimney that is not perpendicular to the exhaust
gases outlet and the connection requires the use of elbows, ensure that these don´t exceed
the 45° and have no obstruction.
It is recommended to use insulated double wall tubes in the chimney.
This allows higher temperature of the fumes as well a constant flow and prevents condensation
and particle deposits.
Avoid horizontal sections.
More than tree changes of direction of the exhaust gases tubes should be avoided. Whenever
needed, it should be made with two 45°C elbows.
Use always a rain cap in the end of the chimney with an outlet diameter of at least twice the
diameter of the exhaust gases tube.
Connecting the exhaust tubes to a collective chimney is not recommended unless each
equipment has its own exhaust gases tubes inside and outdoor outlet.
Is recommended that the equipment is tested before closing the chimney housing.
