− Set up the paper shredder in the vicinity of a properly
installed socket. The socket must be freely accessible.
− Please empty the paper and the CD/DVD/credit card
collecting bin at regular intervals. If it overfills there is
danger that they will be drawn up from underneath into
the respective shredding system.
− Unplug the power plug before emptying the device.
− Remove regularly any shredded paper, credit card and
CD/DVD residue from the underside of the paper shredder
using a suitable tool (e.g. a brush). Always switch off the
device before doing so and unplug the power plug.
− After pulling out the collecting bin, sharp and pointed
parts of the cutting system become touchable. Operate
carefully.
− Do not operate the paper shredder for longer than
3 minutes without interruption. Allow it to cool down to
room temperature first before restarting operation.
CAUTION!
Risk of Material Damage!
Misuse could lead to damage of the paper shredder.
− Both cutting tools will rotate when one is activated by the
respective sensor. Make sure that there are no objects close-
by the feeding slot which is not in use.
− Do not compress the shredded paper in the collecting bin
with your hands or feet. The pressure could damage the
collecting bin.
− Only insert paper. Do not insert other items such as paper
clips, clear plastic folders, disks, laminated paper or the
like into the paper slot as it could damage the paper
shredder.
− Only insert CDs/DVDs/credit cards, but not other items into
the CD/DVD/credit card slot.
− Do not insert more than one CD/DVD or more than one
credit card into the CD/DVD/credit card slot at the same
time. The cutting unit could be irreparably damaged.
