Introduction
Gas detectors are high-technology devices in which the presence of certain combustible
gases triggers an alarm. We recommend to refer to authorised technicians for
their installation, for routine and special maintenence and for decommission
after 5 years. The detectors are designed to trigger the alarm when gas conecentration
reaches a threshold between 5% and 15% of the lowest explosion limit (L.E.I.).
The operating conditions are at room temperature between –5°C and +35°C and a maxi-
mum relative humidity of 85%. The detection threshold may vary in practice but will not
exceed 20% of the lowest explosion limit in five years of use.
