12. Cleaning and maintenance

12.1 Checking the water level

Labormat devices are hot water devices
which release steam during the spray
process and when the lid is open. This
lowers the water level and necessi-
tates checking the water level on a
daily basis.
If the water level reaches the level
of the heating cover (6), it is imper-

12.2 Restoring operational readiness

Important: Always pull the mains
plug before opening the device.
The overheating protection safety switch
(21) is located on the control panel (7)
and is secured with a protective cap.
If reactivation is necessary, release
the protective cap in an anticlockwise

12.3 Changing the water

In order to obtain consistently good
results when cleaning and boiling out
models, the wax dissolved in water
should be removed daily.
Do this by setting the temperature con-
troller (19/22) to 0 °C or switching off
the device and allowing it to cool (ide-
ally overnight).
The wax dissolved in the water auto-
matically collects as a layer on the
surface as the water cools down. After
removing the flask baskets and support
plate (55), this layer can be scooped
out along with any other floating

ative that water is added (Please
refer to the section „Filling with water").

heating element (28), a safety switch

heating.

Immediately replace the protective
cap on the locking button on account
of the risk of electrical components
being damaged by water.
impurities. Give the device an overall
and thorough cleaning at least once a
week and more frequently if used more
often after scooping out the wax layer.
Discharge the residual water through
the drainage valve (43) on the bottom
left of the rear wall. The valve (43) is
opened by turning the red regulating
wheel to the left on the left housing
wall. The waste water can be collected
in a bucket or directed into the sewer-
age system through a hose (only pos-
sible with the corresponding incline).
Close the drainage valve (43) and
remove any rough impurities from the
