Precautions
•
The safety of the Reflux Band has not been proven for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in conjunction
with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) or for people under 18 years of age.
•
Keep out of the reach of children.
•
Ensure skin is clean, dry and without sores before wearing your Reflux Band.
•
During a clinical study, some Reflux Band users reported a skin reaction, discomfort and the feeling of acid in
the throat. These were mostly mild and short in duration.
•
Stop using the Reflux Band and contact your doctor if:
o You experience unusual pain or skin irritation.
o Your symptoms do not improve or get worse after 30 days of consistent use.
o You are in the care of a doctor and have questions about the use of the Reflux Band as it pertains to your
personal medical situation.

If your Reflux Band does not stay in place, review the fitting instructions to ensure it is fit to you properly. If you

DO NOT use if the package of the Reflux Band is opened or damaged.

DO NOT over-tighten as this may lead to pain or skin irritation.

DO NOT submerge the Reflux Band or Fitting Kit into liquids. See "Maintenance Page 7" for cleaning
instructions.

DO NOT wear your Reflux Band in the bath, shower, or any other water source that may come into contact
with the device.
•
DO NOT use the Reflux Band differently from the intended use.

REFLUX BAND DESCRIPTION

Your Reflux Band package contains one complete Reflux Band and one additional Cushion.
•
Cushion: The Cushion is designed to fit the unique anatomical structure of the cricoid area while delivering
consistent, subtle pressure.
•
Frame: The Frame is lightweight yet strong and flexible to keep the Cushion in place while providing
consistent pressure in any sleeping position. The magnet in the Frame attaches to the magnet in the Clasp.
•
Comfort Dial: The Comfort Dial allows for comfort adjustments without affecting the Reflux Band's
performance. A clockwise turn of the dial increases pressure and a counterclockwise turn decreases pressure.
•
Clasp: The Clasp contains a self-finding magnet that simplifies wearing and removing the Reflux Band while
ensuring the fitted setting is maintained.
•
Pusher Plate: The Pusher Plate reliably maintains accurate Cushion placement.
•
Comfort Band: The Comfort Band is soft, contoured and tailored for comfort. Durable Velcro tabs enable
quick and easy personal fitting.
