It' s convenient to put the shock absorber dismantler in a well lit and wide place, since the general conditions of the work place
are basic in the prevention of accidents.
Link the apparatus at the compressed air system, making sure that the pressure be between 5 and 10 bars.
1) Make sure the engine is placed on a plane level.
2) Before beginning the actual use of the engine for
the first time, it is highly recommended to operate
the piston idly, in order to balance the pressure inside
the cylinder, thus avoiding a too abrupt thrust.
3) Before starting the compression of the spring, make
sure that the spring is locked correctly by the apposite hooks.
4) We don't assume any liability for damages caused by
improper uses of the apparatus, included.different uses
from those indicated by the manufacturer..
5) This is a professional instrument and needs therefore qualified personnel.
6) The apparatus is endowed with a safety device that prevents any operation if the protection has not lowered.
Previous statement: in some cases, in order to make the disassembly of the shock-absorber easer, before proceeding to
compress the spring, it is necessary to release the stopper nut of the cap (some Houses recommend releasing it still before
getting out the shock-absorber from the automobile).
1) Acting on the foot control lever (Photo 1), lift the mobile cart up to the line of beginning compression.
2) Lift the protection (Photo 2)
3) Insert the strut assembly into the engine, putting the spring's low coil into the low left hook group. (Photo 3)
4) Regulate the low right arm according to the diameter of the spring and, acting on the adjusting screw, line up the strut assembly.
(Photo 4)
5) Lower the top left hook set connecting it with the top coil of the spring. (Photo 5)
6) Proceed in an analogous way for the top right hook set.
7) Lift the support plate making sure that it adhere to the strut assembly. (Photo 6)
8) Lower the protection.
9) Acting on the foot control lever, compress the spring as necessary to free the stem of the strut assembly.
10) Unscrew the shock absorber nut. Unthread the stem of the shock absorber lowering the support plate.
11) Insert the new shock absorber in the compressed coil spring taking care that the lower coil of the spring is seated on the step of
the lower seat. Lift the support plate making sure that it adhere to the low part of the strut assembly. (Photo 6)
12) Lock the cap and any attachment on the new shock absorber.
13) Acting on the foot control lever decompress the spring and verify that the cap and any attachment adhere to the spring in the
right position.
14) Lift the protection and remove the strut assembly.
Routine maintenance
- Verify periodically the correct clamping of the screws of the engine.
- The valve - cylinder unit doesn't need special maintenance, but a good air lubrification reduces greatly the wear and tear of the
gaskets, and a good filtration of the same prevents accumulation of dust and the consequent misfunctioning.
- For cleaning the parts in movement use simply compressed air.
Special maintenance
- For special maintenance, call only competent staff; otherwise refer to your own confidential vendor.
- Use only original spares..
The machine is delivered crated in wooden case. It is recommended to dispose of it according to the safety rules in a suitable
place. The transport of the shock absorber doesn't need special contrivances.
Should the apparatus be dismantled it's necessary locate it in proper site.
