Location Precautions
This clock receives a radio wave much like a TV or radio. Be sure to locate it near a window or some other locations where
reception is good.
Avoid the following locations, which can interfere with proper reception.
Inside or near concrete/ steel bulidings
or structures, unless the clock is close/
next to a window (with curtain open).
Too close to household appliances
Near construction sites, traffic lights,
(Computer, TV, video/audios, fax
machines, speakers).
Synchronization signal reception can be received in Germany only. In other areas, you can still use this clock by making time
settings manually.

Getting Started

Installing the Batteries and Reset
1. Open the battery door located at the back of the clock.
2. Put in the batteries with proper polarity (+) and (-) as indicated.
3. Press RESET.
Initial Signal Reception after Power Up
• The clock will search for DCF signal and display the time automatically after reset.
Daily Automatic Time Update
It will receive DCF signal daily. During time signal reception, all buttons (except RESET) will be hold. Pressing Month /
Hour / Wave button can cancel time signal reception and all buttons can be re-activated again.
Manual Time Update
• Reception can be started anytime by pressing and holding the Month / Hour / Wave button in front of the case.
• During time signal reception, all buttons (except RESET) will be hold. Pressing Month / Hour / Wave button can cancel
time signal reception and all buttons can be re-activated again.
Note: Frequent use of this feature may affect battery life.
Reception Time, Scrolling Tower and Wave OK Display
• Each reception will be last for several minutes depending on the signal strength of your location.
• If the tower and wave icon is scrolling, your clock is actively searching for the DCF signal.
• If the tower and wave icon is static, your clock is not actively searching for the signal.
• The Wave OK box will be displayed which indicates successful reception during the last search for the DCF signal. The
Wave OK box may not be displayed daily due to interference between your location and Mainflingen (near Frankfurt am
Main). This is normal.
