4. Automatic Baseline Calibration
(ABC function)
Automatic Baseline Calibration (ABC function) is
performed to eliminate the zero flow of the infrared
sensor. ABC calibration is a calibration on the lowest
measured CO₂ value during 24 hours of continuous
measurement (meter switched on). It is assumed that
fresh air with a value of about 400 ppm will be present
in the ventilated room for some time.
The ABC function is off by default. You can enable the
function by completing the following steps:
1. Open the housing of the sensor with a thin and
sturdy object, for example a precision screwdriver.
Carefully insert it straight through one of the
rectangular holes on the back of the sensor. Push
the side of the housing out slightly, and carefully
pull out the front. Repeat if necessary with the other
holes.
2. Locate DIP switch 1.
3. Switch DIP switch 1 to position "ON" to activate the
ABC function (or back to "1" to deactive).
4. Close the housing.
NOTE The meter is not suitable for use in confined
spaces with high CO₂ values.
If you change the position of a DIP switch, the start-
up time of 90 seconds starts again.

5. Manual calibration of the CO
sensor
The S-Eco is calibrated at the factory. You can therefore
immediately use this sensor. We recommend that you
regularly check the S-Eco for accurate operation.
ATTENTION: calibrate the sensor only if you suspect
a deviation!
5.1 Sensor check
If you suspect a deviation of the sensor, first go through
the following steps:
1. Place the sensor in a CO
indoors or 2 hours outside).
2. Connect the sensor to a TechGrow CO
with Min/Max display.
3. Reset the Min/Max value of the CO
4. Leave the sensor and controller preferably 24 hours,
though at least 8 hours.
5. Check the minimum measured value of the
controller.
6. If the minimum value is below 380 ppm or above
440 ppm, your CO
sensor needs to be calibrated.

7. Repeat this sensor check after calibration.
5.2 Calibration process
To calibrate the sensor, switch DIP switch 2 to
position "ON". Complete the following steps:
1. Open the housing of the sensor with a thin and
sturdy object, for example a precision screwdriver.
Carefully insert it straight through one of the
rectangular holes on the back of the sensor. Push
the side of the housing out slightly, and carefully
pull the front out. Repeat if necessary with the other
holes.
2. Locate DIP switch 2.
