8 Repair
Caution: Repair work may only be carried out by trained and authorised personnel

Note: When changing the fi lter, check that the appliance is in working order and has no
leaks.
8.1 Filter Hoses
Caution: Filter hoses must be changed in rotation after 5 years.

To change, read the fi lter system manual.
8.2 Cleaning
Regularly clear the BRITA FlowMeter of dust and dirt with a soft, dry cloth.
Note: Do not use any abrasive chemicals, cleaning solutions or astringent cleaning
agents.
9 Battery
The installed battery is designed for a service life of approx. 7 years. Replace the battery
immediately when the "BATT" symbol fl ashes in the display.
To change the battery, proceed as follows (the saved data will remain even after the
battery has been changed):

Remove the screw
of the display unit

Remove the battery
•
Insert new battery in the battery holder with the positive pole pointing up.
Caution: Ensure correct polarity!

Replace back of the housing
Dispose of the removed battery by following the local
environmental guidelines for battery disposal (Chapter 2.4)
10 Troubleshooting
10.1 The display unit is not working
Cause: Battery faulty or worn out.
Troubleshooting: Replace battery (Chapter 9).
Caution: The following points may be remedied only by trained and authorised per-

sonnel (Chapter 3.1).
10.2 Leak at the screwed connections
Cause: The union nuts are not tightened enough.
Troubleshooting: See Chapter 4.3.
10.3 No counting function
Cause: No connection between sensor and display unit.
Troubleshooting: Check connecting cable and terminal strip (Chapter 4.4).
