Cause
1. Not enough water in the pump chamber to prime.
2. Strainer may be clogged.
3. Hoses are not tightened.
4. Suction hose may be damaged.
5. Strainer may be too high in the water.
6. The suction hose may not be properly tightened to the
suction port.
7. There may be a kink in the discharge hose.
8. Pump may be damaged.
1. One or more of the clutch bumpers is missing or worn.
1. Add more water to the pump chamber.
2. Unclog the strainer.
3. Tighten hoses onto the pump ports.
4. Replace damaged suction hose.
5. Place stariner further down in the water.
6. Properly tighten the suction hose to the suction port.
7. Unkink the discharge hose.
8. Replace damaged pump.
