This product is one part of a personal fall arrest system. It must be
used in conjunction with other components to form a complete and
functional system. The user must understand the function and follow
the manufacturer's instructions for of each of component. The user
must be provided these instructions to read and follow. Consult the

about any part of the instructions. The employer must provide training
in the proper use, inspection, and maintenance of all components
in the fall arrest system, and these instructions can be used as part
of that training. This equipment must be used ONLY in accordance
with these instructions, local ordinances and codes, applicable OSHA
regulations, ANSI standards, and the employer's safety plan.
This Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) is designed to provide a variable
length energy absorbing connection from an approved anchorage
to the dorsal (back) D-ring of an approved fall protection harness.
Use of an SRL is appropriate for doing work that requires movement,
especially when changing levels.

I. Before Using the Self-Retracting Lifeline
Before using this equipment the user must take certain steps to
ensure that it is in suitable condition and safe for use. Users must
read and understand these instructions. It is the employer's obligation
to ensure that all users have been trained in safe work procedures
as well as in the use and limitations of fall protection equipment. All
users must comply with all applicable OSHA and local or regional
regulations concerning fall protection equipment and its use.
a. Inspect
This equipment must be inspected thoroughly, before each use by
the user, and periodically by a competent person who is not the user.
