1. General Points

No modifications or alterations can be made to the product without authorisation from the manufacturer, in the
event of this, the guarantee will be invalidated.
National standards and safety regulations must be observed.

2. Fundamental safety instructions

Anyone involved with the operation, maintenance and repair of the heating jacket should read
and be aware of the contents of the instruction manual. The heating jacket should only be
operated by trained personnel.
The mains supply connection has to be in accordance with the corresponding regulations (VDE 01000
- Association of German Electricians). For safety reasons the equipment must be only operated, if a
Residual Current protective Device (RCD) with a release current of 30 mA is connected upstream.
This must be checked by a qualified electrician.
In accordance with the German BGV A3 electrical equipment has to be examined in regular
intervals.
Repairs on the electrical components in the heating jackets must be carried out by an electrician or
trained personnel under the supervision of an electrician.
The heating jacket should only be used when it is in full working order under the supervision of the
operator.
The heating jacket should not be used in damp or wet conditions and should not be exposed to
aggressive chemicals. Do not use any other heating appliances in addition to the heating jacket.

3. Use and intended purpose

1. Heating jackets are used for heating drums, plastic canisters and other containers.
2. They are used to heat and warm substances to prepare them in this way for, for example, further
processing.
3. The range of adjustment allows the heating capacity to be selectively adjusted to suit the particular
application.

4. Technical details

- Product material: Flexible design, manufactured from polyurethane coated polyamide with a Teflon
coating.
- Insulation: 100 % Polyester, quilted fibre glass on the LM4 model
- Heating element: spiral insulated with silicone

- Control: Adjustable thermostat- see the information label on the heating jacket, there are
two heater loops in the LM4 model, they ensure that the heat in the upper and
lower parts of the jacket can be controlled separately.
