"F" Deck Flange Installation Instructions
The use of a 10 ga. zinc plated steel flange helps to reduce the risk of a crooked or
off-set of the leader pipe. It enables the roof drain to be adjusted to insulation
height and is recessed in the center to accept the roof drain body and eliminate
the pooling of water in and around the drain.
Place the flange over the opening. Flange may be fastened to the roof deck if desired.
Line the flashing clamp on the body of the roof drain up with holes in the flange and
secure with screws. (provided)
Step 1
Create an opening in the roof to accommodate the drain assembly
RD-100 Series 14", RD-200 Series 12 1/4", RD-300 Series 18 1/2", RD-500 Series
22 3/8", RD-700 Series 22 x 14", RD-800 Series 35" x 22"
Incorrect installation occurs when the circular hole is cut off center of the leader pipe
extending upwards in the roof.
Step 2:
Place "F" flange over the opening . The flange may be fastened to the roof deck if
desired with screws. (Provided) Sealant may be used if desired to provide a moisture
barrier between the roof and drain.
Step 3:
Invert the roof drain body, and turn 8" all-thread rod into bottom lugs.
Step 4:
Thread hex nuts on to all-thread rod. Set nuts to desired height for suspension of
drain above roof deck, flush with roofing insulation. Drop flat washers over studs.
Note: If drain is to be set flush with roof deck (tapered insulation) do not use hex nuts and washers
drain body will fully recess into "F" flange for flush-with deck installation.
