Safety and precautions

This user manual is supplied with your ITD item so that the owner/user can familiarise themselves with
operation and maintenance. The information in this manual must be fully understood by operating and main-
tenance personnel to ensure the safety of the user and extend the life of the equipment.
Precautions
- Please note that the Speed Dolly is NOT permitted for long-term driving of vehicles. Instead, it is intended to
take non-roadworthy vehicles to the nearest safe place from where they can be loaded onto a tow truck.
- Before initial operation, perform a careful visual inspection of the device and the dolly description.
- Before putting the dolly into operation, observe the loading capacity label on the main tube in the Proximity
of the handle.
- Do not use the dolly to transport persons or animals.
- Always wear protective clothing such as goggles, gloves, reflective glasses, etc. during operation.
Clothing and safety shoes.
The trolley must be loaded and unloaded by the same person.
Changing the operator can lead to accidents.
Carrying capacity
Speed Dolly (ITD1480/ITD1478)
Loads must not exceed 1380 kg (3040 lbs). It is always dangerous to load heavier loads than the nominal
load indicated on the label. If you are not sure about the weight of the vehicle, check the registration docu-
ment.
XD Dolly (ITD1490)
Loads must not exceed 1814 kg (4000 lbs)*. It is always dangerous to load heavier loads than the nominal
load indicated on the label. If you are not sure about the weight of the vehicle, check the registration docu-
ment.
*The wheels of the XD Dolly are specially designed for the specified nominal load. If wheels or tyres have
been replaced on the aftermarket, the nominal load can be reduced to the value of the component with the
lowest value (i.e. wheel or tyre).
Maintenance of the dolly
Visual inspection
Before each use, perform a careful visual inspection of the unit and accessories.
Watch your step:
- Signs of physical damage such as cracks
- Curvature
- Deformations on plates and welds
- Cracked and flaking paint
- Worn or damaged lashings or mechanical elements
- Loose rivets or missing end caps on the dolly axles
