The brush holders are located on the motor housing
opposite each other (Fig. 51).
To change the brushes, open the brush housing cover (C)
and release the threaded cover (E) with a screwdriver (D) -
(Fig. 52) to access the brushes.

When the carbon on either of the brushes (D) is worn
to 25 mm in length or if either spring or shunt wire is
burned or damaged in any way, replace both brushes. If
the brushes are serviceable after removing, reinstall them
in the same position as removed.
