Before you start
Please unpack the table-top barbecue and remove all packaging material. Inspect the table-top
barbecue for any damage. If the table-top barbecue is damaged, do not use it. Assemble the table
barbecue as shown in the figure on the inside of the cover. Make sure that the fat collector [6] is
properly fixed to the frame. Carefully press it downwards until it hooks into place.
Getting started
Prior to using the table-top barbecue for the first time, it's recommended to clean it for hygienic
reasons. See also the chapter "Cleaning".
Before using the product, fill approx. 1.5 l of cold water into the fat collector [6] up to the
"MAX" marking. This will prevent excessive heat radiation from the table-top barbecue.
When using it for the first time, keep the table-top barbecue powered on with the fat collector [6]
filled with water but no foodstuff for 15 minutes to eliminate any smell. Some smoke may develop
during this process. Therefore make sure to guarantee sufficient ventilation.
Risk of Burning Injury! When switched on, the temperature of exposed surfaces may be very
high.
Place the device on a level and heat-resistant surface. Place a heat-resistant plate in between
the surface and the table-top barbecue if the surface itself is critical.
Fill approx. 1.5 l of cold water into the fat collector [6] up to the "MAX" marking.
Plug the mains plug into an easily accessible mains socket.
Place the On/Off switch [3] to position "I" to power the table-top barbecue on. The power
indicator [2] goes red while the table-top barbecue is switched on.
