Charging with the vehicle dc power cord (fig. A & C)
Warning! Do not connect the mains charger and the 12 Vdc
charger at the same time.
Your spotlight can be simultaneously charged and operated
from a 12 Vdc source. Make sure that the 12 Vdc source can
supply a minimum 15 amps of current if the spotlight is to be
operated while the batteries are being charged.
Warning! Do not charge for longer than 4 hours.
Plug the free end of the supplied vehicle dc power cord (9)
into the 12 Vdc charging socket (5) (fig. C).
Insert the plug end of the vehicle dc power cord (9) into
the accessory outlet of your vehicle or other 12 Vdc
power source.
Charge until the green battery status LED (8) lights
(approximately 3-4 hours).
Make sure that the dc source, ie jump-starter, battery pack,
vehicle accessory outlet, etc., is 12 Vdc and is able to supply
at least 0.5 amps at 12 Vdc for eight hours. This means that
a battery pack should be charged with at least a 4 amp/hour
capacity.
Note: When using a vehicle's 12 Vdc accessory outlet as a
charging source, it may be necessary to turn on the vehicles
ignition to power the accessory outlet.
USE
Operating the LED area lights (fig. A)
Set the light mode switch (6) to OO to turn the LED area
lights (12) on.
Set the light mode switch (6) to any other position to turn
the LED area lights off.
Operating the spotlight (fig. A)
Set the light mode switch (6) to select either 1 or 2 beam.
Flip up the trigger guard and press the trigger (7) to turn the
spotlight on.
Release the trigger (7) to turn the spotlight off.
Using the 12 Vdc accessory outlet (fig. D)
Warning! Do not use the 12 Vdc accessory outlet while
charging the spotlight with the mains charger.
Flip up the cover of the 12 Vdc accessory outlet (11).
Insert the plug of the 12 Vdc appliance.
MAINTENANCE
Your Black & Decker tool has been designed to operate over
a long period of time with a minimum of maintenance.
Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool
care and regular cleaning.
Warning! Before performing any maintenance or cleaning of
the tool, unplug the unit from the power supply.

From time to time wipe the appliance with a damp cloth. Do
not use any abrasive or solvent-based cleaner. Do not
immerse the appliance in water.
Replacing a bulb (fig. E & F)
To replace either or both bulbs (1), you will need a small
cross-head screwdriver and a bulb as per technical data.
Do not touch the glass part of the bulb. Bulb life may be
shortened by installing a bulb with dirt or fingerprints on it.
The bulb (1) can be wiped clean with a cloth moistened with
alcohol based cleaner.
Disconnect the spotlight from any charging adapters.
Push the rubber ring guard (2) forward toward the front of
the spotlight to reveal two small cross-head screws (13) in
the retaining ring (14).
Remove and retain the two screws (13).
Lift off the retaining ring (14), the glass lens (15) and the
rubber "O" ring (16) and set them aside.
Carefully remove the reflector (17) and the bulb assembly.
Disconnect the bulb wire (18) from the power wire.
Unclip the retaining clip (19) from the flange of the reflector
(fig F).
Remove the screw (20) and detach the wire.
Remove the bulb (1) and detach the wire.
Insert the replacement bulb (1) into the flange of the
reflector (17).
Install the retaining clip (19) into the flange of the reflector
(17).
Install the wire with the screw (20).
Connect the bulb wire (18) to the power wire.
Place the reflector (17) in position in the body of the
spotlight.
Replace the rubber "O" ring (16) in the groove around the
perimeter of the reflector (17).
Install the glass lens (15) and the retaining ring (14) so that
the screw holes are aligned.
Secure the retaining ring (14) with the two screws (13).
Install the rubber ring guard (2).
Replacing the fuse in the vehicle dc power cord
Remove the gold cap by turning it counter clockwise.
Remove the rubber washer, centre pin and the spring.
Remove the fuse.
Fit a new fuse of the same type and size (15 A).
Install the centre pin, spring and rubber washer.
Install the gold cap by turning clockwise onto the plug.
