Commissioning / Operation
1.
Connect the hotty to the wall outlet (Fig. 2).
2.
Swivel the cover (B) back (Fig. 3).
3.
Add the dipping wax to the pot (E) (Fig. 4).
4.
Switch the hotty on at the main power switch (A).
The operation LED (C - green) then goes on. During the warm-up phase the red LED (C) also
remains on.
5.
Turn the potentiometer (F) that gives you setpoint between 60 °C [140 °F] and 110 °C [230 °F] in
increments of 10 °C [18 °F] until you reach the desired operating temperature (Fig. 5).
6.
Once the unit reaches the setpoint temperature, the red LED goes out (C). The red LED would light
up shortly when regulating the temperature successively.
5.1
Correct dipping
(Fig. 6)
• Support the hand comfortably.
• Do a quick dip to just beyond the preparation border.
• Slowly and evenly remove the die from the wax.
• Just before the tip comes out hold it steady in the pot for a short time so that any excess wax can drip
down.
6
Cleaning / Maintenance
The hotty is maintenance free. From time-to-time, you should wipe your unit down with a damp cloth.
Never use detergents or solvents!
Never rinse or spray your
hotty directly with water.
With the unit switched off, you can remove hardened wax residue by carefully scraping it.
Warming the unit's surfaces with a hair drier will make it easier to remove wax residue.
