Alarm History:
An alarm condition is logged when any
number of important events occur. The date and time of the most
recent alarms is shown in this menu item.
• When salt level reaches 0, the low salt alert is replaced by a
NO SALT alarm. This alarm condition will persist until you
add salt and adjust the salt level.
• When you lose power, a POWER LOSS event is noted. The
system will record the time power is lost & the time power is
restored. You do not need to do anything in response to a
power loss. The system can keep time for several days
without power and will not lose any settings in a power loss.
The computer has automatic recovery procedures for power loss
during a regeneration.
• If the motor is unable to drive the valve to its proper position
during regeneration, a MOTOR/SWITCH alarm is activated.
This alarm indicates a serious issue with the drive assembly or
valve and requires service by a trained technician.
• Other RainSoft products in your home, such as a drinking
water system and a whole house filter, have filter elements or
other components which eventually become exhausted and
need replacement. Your EC5 control can be set to monitor
these system and provide a warning when service is needed.
These alarms are identified as DRINKING WATER, FILTER,
AIRMASTER, and OTHER. These alarms indicate the need
for service by a trained technician.
