• Rest the appliance on a firm flat surface.
• Place the iron on base (2) of boiler shell (1).
• Fill up the water tank (17) as described in the previous paragraph.
• Completely unwind the power cord (8) and plug into the outlet.
• To switch on the appliance, press pushbutton (4), bringing it to the ON (I) position.
• The red pilot light will light on to show that the boiler is heating: ONLY WHEN THE BLUE LAMP
LIGHTS, THE APPLIANCE IS READY FOR STEAM IRONING.
• Turn the iron temperature control knob (11) to the steam ironing position.
• The pilot light (12) on the iron will go on immediately and will go out a few minutes later, when
the required temperature is reached.
• During operation, the iron light (12) goes on and then automatically goes out indicating that the
iron temperature is constantly under control.
WARnIng!
- During use, the iron-boiler tube (9), the iron soleplate (15) and the boiler base (2) become very
hot. Do not touch them in order to avoid burns.
- On first use and whenever the appliance is enabled, when you first press the steam
button (14) on the iron, a vibration noise will be heard: this is perfectly normal due to
the internal pump. This noise will disappear after few seconds.
IROnIng
• Before ironing delicate fabrics it is best to make trial run on a hidden piece e.g. the hem.
• We advise you to iron more delicate fabrics needing low temperatures first, then go on
ironing more resistant fabrics needing higher temperatures.
• Press button (14) on the iron for the steam jet: the steam will gradually stop coming out when
you release the button.
• Rest the iron on the boiler base (2) during ironing pauses.
• To use the continuous steam function, press the button (14) and simultaneously push the slider
(13) towards the cork handle of the iron. To disable this function, move the slider (13) in the
direction away from the handle.
• By placing the iron vertically at a distance of about 20 cm, you can dispense steam to revive
and refreshen fabrics.
• Do not this while you are wearing the garment because the steam is very hot and can cause burns.
WARnIng!
Some drops of water may leak out of the iron soleplate (15) when the first jet of steam starts coming
out; this is quite normal and is due to condensation forming inside the iron-boiler connecting tube (9).
This will disappear with the following jets of steam. It is therefore not
recommended to point the first jet of steam directly on the item to be ironed. The iron must be
used and left at rest on a firm surface.
