Relay Indication
- On: Relay closed -> Uponor Controller
C-56 in forced ECO mode.
- Off: Relay open -> Uponor Controller
C-56 in normal mode.
SIM card considerations
Use a mobile phone to:
• Deactivate SIM card PIN code using the security option on your
mobile phone.
• Test the SIM card is working properly when trouble shooting a system.
Note that some types of SIM cards become inactivated if they have
not been used for some time. This can be prevented by the heartbeat
function that will send a SMS from the remote access module R-56
with a configurable interval.

Constantly On: No GSM Signal

Installation
Please follow this sequence when installing the Uponor Remote access
module R-56 and Uponor Thermostat T-54 Public.
Note! The thermostat T-54 Public switch settings must be done before
the thermostat is registered to the controller C-56.
• Set the switches on the thermostat T-54 Public as shown in picture C.
• Install the SIM card in the remote access module R-56 slot on the
right side of the unit. Note! Use mobile phone to de-activate PIN
code, see picture D.
• Mount the antenna.
• Fix the thermostat T-54 Public and the remote access module R-56
to the wall.
• Connect the sensor input on the thermostat T-54 Public to the relay
output on the remote access module R-56, see picture E, F and G.
• Place the batteries in the thermostat T-54 Public and replace the
cover.
• Replace the remote access module R-56 cover and connect the
power supply.
• Register the thermostat to the controller C-56 on a channel that
does not already use a thermostat T-54 Public. Please see Uponor
Control System - Installation and operation manual for further
instructions.
• The system should now be manually operable. Test that pressing the
remote access module R-56 On/Off button activates Forced ECO in
the controller.
Note! Will be indicated in the interface I-76 by an alarm message and
blinking LED; Forced ECO mode!
