REPLACEMENT OF PARTS

Before dismantling valve switch off the material pump and relieve pressure in the system.
TO REPLACE DIAPHRAGM (Rep. 7)
1. Unscrew the 6 hex. head cap screws.
2. Clean with an adequate solvent and check all the surfaces
which are in contact with the membrane.
3. The diaphragm is sold complete with its washer and its fluid
flow plastic deflector.
These parts could be not separated, if diaphragm or the deflector
is damaged replace it.
4. Install the new diaphragm kit HGBR-422 into the regulator
body.
5. Put the cover on the regulator and screw the 6 screws at 7.5
to 8 mN.
SERVICE CHECKS
DEFECTS
Fluid pressure increases above
initial setting.
Back pressure reduces below
initial setting.
Leakage from vent hole in cap
Leakage from gasket at
perimeter of valve body.

These regulators are classed as components, by the ATEX directive 94/9/EC "Equipment and Protective Systems intended for
use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres" and are in conformity with the provisions of the directive, protection level II 2 G.
DeVilbiss Surfaces & Finition reserve the right to modify equipment specification without prior notice.

CAUSES
Obstruction in the return line.
Obstruction in the regulator.
Too little material being used at spray
stations for pressure setting on valve
Return line undersized for volume of
material being pumped.
Too much material being used at spray
stations for pressure setting on valve.
No material being supplied because of
pump failure at supply point.
Broken or punctured diaphragm.
Loose cap screw

TO SERVICE VALVE ASSEMBLY (Rep. 12)
1. Unscrew the fluid outlet valve from the regulator body.
2. Clean and check the valve and washer HGBR-78 (Rep.9).
If the parts are damaged, replace in using the valve kit HGBR-426.
3. Screw the valve body on the regulator body with a sealing
compound "loctite 222". Apply a maximum torque 6.4Nm.
CORRECTION
Clean the fluid line.
Clean or replace valve.
Reset pressure at valve under maxi flow conditions
at spray stations.
Re-size line or reduce volume of material being
pumped.
Reset pressure at valve under maximum flow
conditions at spray stations
Repair or replace pump as necessary.
Replace.
Tighten screws evenly.
