Single-/Dualband Switch (7)

Select single- or dualband with the TDR key (7). In TDR mode, indicated
by the symbol TDR in the upper left corner of the display, the radio can re-
ceive signals on two different frequencies.
Dependent on the selected display mode (more information see menu 16
CH.MDF) the following applies:
CHANNEL
: in the -C version, the preset channels are displayed,
in the -H version, the programmed channels are displayed.
upper row: channel number (CH-xxx)
lower row: WELCOME
(in TDR mode, channel no. are displayed)
NAME
: upper row: programmed channel names
lower row: channel number
(in TDR mode, channel name is displayed)
FREQ.CH
: upper row: programmed rx frequencies
lower row: programmed tx frequencies
left side, small no., channel no.
in TDR mode, the frequency is displayed
FREQ
: the VFO mode FREQ. is only
available in the HAM -H version
upper row: programmed rx frequencies
lower row: programmed tx frequencies
(in TDR mode, the frequency is displayed)

A/B switch (8)

In dualband mode, a main- and a side-frequency are displayed. On both
frequencies, signals can bei received. Transmission is only possible on the
main frequency.
The main frequency is indicated by the letter A or B. The according letter is
located to the left of the displayed channel/frequency.
Press A/B to determine the main frequency.
Hint: the A/B switch is only available in the TDR mode.

The TeCom-DB-C/-H contains 26 functions that can be set via the menu, as
described in the following:
To enter the menu press the menu button [MENU] (6). The first menu
function 001 SQUELCH appears.
Select a function by
a) turning the rotary channel selector (3) or
b) pressing the UP [p] (14) or DOWN key [q] (15) or
c) pressing the number key combination on the keypad, e.g. for function 12
BEEP, press 1 - 2.
The function number starts blinking and the next step has to be performed
within appr. 10 seconds, otherwise the operation is aborted and the radio re-
turns to receipt mode.
To change the actual setting of the selected function, press the menu key
[MENU] (6) or the PTT key [PTT] (13). The function number stops blinking
but lights constantly.
Now select the desired setting with the rotary channel selector or the Up and
Down key [p] (14) / [q] (15).
To store the new settings press the menu key [MENU] (6), PTT key [PTT]
(13) or the exit key [EXIT] (9).
To leave the menu press the exit key [EXIT] (9).
