Description
The 3A and 16A output modules are used, through a relay output, to actuate radio
controls coming from devices of the RF Chorus series, such as:
• remote controls,
• button pads,
• conventional inputs modules,
• IR detectors with twilight sensor,
• timer-thermostats.

The 3A and 16A output modules are provided with a three-colored (yellow/red/green)
multifunction LED (A) to show the operating mode and a button on the front (B) for
local control of the output relay.
A wire inlet (C) can be used to connect contacts without potential of control
appliances.
The modules are powered at 230V. The output contact of the 3A module is under
power while that of the 16A module is without potential. A rotary switch is used to
select the configuration and operating mode of the device.
Configuration
Learn configuration
All that is required to associate a 3A or 16A output module to one or more control
devices is to turn the switch to position 0: the multifunction LED becomes fixed red.
At this point the device that it is intended to combine must be set up according to the
description in the relative instruction sheet, so as to generate the required control
message: the multifunction LED will go out for about 5 seconds and then light up
again (red) awaiting a possible further combination.
A maximum of up to 16 control channels can be associated to each module.
Should the maximum possible number of associations be reached, the LED becomes
blinking red; in this case it is not possible to make any further associations.

Cancel configuration
Turn the switch to position 9 to cancel all the combinations made: the multifunction
LED becomes blinking yellow to show that the operation is in progress.
The fixed yellow LED shows that the operation has been completed.
Operation
The operating mode of the output modules is determined on the basis of the position
of the rotary switch.
Bistable operation with button
Bistable operation with button (switch in position 1) is used when it is required to
open and close the output relay when commands are received, for example, from an
RF button pad, and from conventional buttons connected to the module through the
wire inlet: this is the case when it is required to offer traditional operating points (with
buttons) as well as the RF control point.
The front button and possible buttons connected to the inlet for remote control cause
a status change in the relay each time they are pressed.

Monostable operation
Monostable operation (switch in position 2) is used when it is required to obtain
impulsive closing of the relay for the time corresponding, for example, to pressing a
remote control button: this is the case when controlling a bell or dimmer.
The front button and possible buttons connected to the inlet for remote control cause
the output relay to close for as long as they are pressed.

Bistable operation with switch
Bistable operation with switch (switch in position 3) is used when it is required to
open and close the output relay when commands are received, for example, from an
RF button pad, and from a traditional switch connected to the module through the
wire inlet: this is the case when an RF control point is added to a pre-existing switch
(or switches/inverters).
The front button causes a status change in the relay each time it is pressed; a
possible switch connected to remote control input causes a status change in the
relay each time the switch position is changed.
