Cleaning and maintenance
The humidifier should be cleaned at least
once a week.

Before cleaning, turn the appliance off by turning
the control knob to position
plug from the wall outlet.

Remove the water tank from the base of the
humidifier, lifting it up. Turn the water tank upside down.

Loosen the cap with the valve by turning it counter
clockwise and drain the water remaining in the tank.
● Fill water tank with hot water and mild detergent
(dishwashing liquid), tightly screw the cap with the
valve and shake the tank several times. Empty the
tank. Repeat the operation several times by pouring
water into the tank without detergent until complete
removal of detergent residue.
Pay attention not to leave any cleaning
solution (detergent) in the water tank.
● Empty the base of the humidifier removing the
accumulated water (see section "Draining the base of
humidifier").

Gently clean the ultrasonic transducer, using the
brush supplied.
Regular cleaning reduces scaling.
Prevention against scale build
● Use cooled boiled water or distilled water. The water
temperature should not exceed 40°C.
● At least once a week clean the water tank, humidifier
base and ultrasonic transducer.
● Before using the humidifier, always pour fresh water
into the water tank.
● If you do not use the humidifier for a long time,
empty the water tank and humidifier base, then wash
all parts of the humidifier, wipe and dry it.
● The appliance is best stored in its original packaging.
Descaling the air humidifier

Fill the container with 50 ml of vinegar
(6% solution of acetic acid) and 100 ml of water, and
mix the whole. Pour the resulting solution into the base
of the humidifier for 30 minutes.

Empty the base of the humidifier (see section
"Draining the base of humidifier") and remove the scale
with a soft cloth.

Rinse the base of humidifier with clean water and
dry it with an absorbent cloth.
Be careful that no water gets into the fan
outlet (electrical components) because it
may cause serious damage to the
humidifier.
If water gets into the fan outlet, contact
your service center.
Advice on disposal
Our goods come in optimised packaging. This
basically consists in using non-contaminating
materials which should be handed over to the local
waste disposal service as secondary raw materials.
This product complies with EU Directive
2002/96/EC. The crossed wheelie bin
symbol shown on the appliance indicates that
when it comes to dispose of the product it
must not be included in with household refuse. It must
be taken to a special refuse collection point for electric
and electronic appliances or returned to the distributor
when purchasing a similar appliance. Under current
refuse disposal regulations, users who fail to take
discarded appliances to special refuse collection points
may be penalised. Correct disposal of discarded
appliances means that they can be recycled and
processed ecologically, helping the environment and
allowing materials used in the product to be reused. For
more information on available waste disposal schemes
contact your local refuse service or the shop where the
product was purchased. Manufacturers and importers
are responsible for ecological recycling, processing and
disposal of products, whether directly or via a public
system.
