► Take care that you do not have contact with the escaping hot steam!
► Pour out hot water slowly and carefully. Risk of scalding.
► Do not move the device when it is switched on.
► Be cautious when moving the pot containing hot water to avoid being scalded.
► Always ensure the lid is firmly closed and do not open the lid while water is boiling, to
avoid being scalded.
► Do not fill the device over the "max"-marking (1500ml).
► Do not overfill the device, hot water can spurt out.
► Incorrect use of appliance may cause serious burns, therefore, attention shall be taken.
► Do not touch the inside of the pot directly after using it. Residual heat can cause burns!

12.4 Dangers due to electrical power

Mortal danger due to electrical power!
Mortal danger exists when coming into contact with live wires or subassemblies!
Observe the following safety notices to avoid dangers due to electrical power:
► If the connection lead is damaged, you will need to have a special connection lead
installed by an authorized electrician.
► Do not operate this device if its power cable or plug is damaged, if it does not work
properly or if it is damaged or has been dropped. If the power cable is damaged, it will
need to be replaced by the manufacturer or his service agency or a similar qualified
person, to avoid any dangers.
► Do not open the housing on the device under any circumstances. There is a danger of
an electrical shock if live connections are touched and the electrical or mechanical
structure is altered. In addition, functional faults on the device can also occur.
► To protect against electric shock, DO NOT immerse cord, plug or the device in water or
other liquids.
► Avoid that water splashes on the power cord.
