Fitting weights
Caution: the weights are heavy and weigh between 18 and 25 kg each. Wear gloves and safety
shoes
Disconnect the machine before carrying out any fitting/removal operation.
In all cases, it is preferable to avoid using weights or to use the smallest weight possible. This will
make the machine easier to handle and the stripping operation less tiring for the operator.
The weights are for use when the blade passes over the covering and/or the wheels skid
Take care not to pinch the power lead when installing weights
Install the weights in the following order: rear weights, front weights, intermediate weights, upper
weights
Position the weights, install the screws (2 for each weight) and tighten them firmly using the wrench
supplied, then move on to the next weight.
If the machine continues to skid in spite of the fact that weights have been installed, it is possible
either to add one or more intermediate weights (optional) or to reduce the width of the strips to be
removed to reduce the forces necessary for the stripping operation.
