Thank you for buying the Wey-TEK Refrigerant Charging Scale!
The Wey-TEK and its companion Charging Module offer an innovative design in refrigerant
measurement and charging. Use the Wey-TEK Scale for manual recovery and/or charging
measurement. Or, add the Charging Module to give you a fully automatic charging station.
The Weigh Platform, Control Hand Piece and Charging Module are not restricted to an individual
Wey-TEK scale. Each component is interchangeable with other Wey-TEK scales and can be
replaced at any time.
Wey-TEK Refrigerant Charging Scale
The Wey-TEK scale's few controls allow for easy operation. See the diagram on the back page for
the location of items on the scale.
A Communication Cable: The communication cable connects the Weigh Platform and the Control
Hand Piece. Insert an end of the cable into each component. Ensure the cable is secure by listening
for a "click" when attaching the cable.
B Battery: The Wey-TEK operates on a 9 volt DC alkaline battery. Install the battery by sliding
open the access door in the back of the control hand piece and snapping it onto the connector.
C ON/OFF Switch: Press the button once to either turn the Wey-TEK on or off. When turned on,
the Wey-TEK will step through an initialization test.
D Unit Selection: The Wey-TEK will display weight measurements in pounds (XXX.XX lbs),
pounds and ounces (XXX lbs XX.XX oz) or kilograms (XXX.XX kg). Push this button to toggle
between selections.
E Tare (Zero): This button allows you to manually zero the Wey-TEK at any time during
operation. NOTE: When first turned on, the Wey-TEK will automatically zero.
F Display: Indicates how much weight has been placed on or taken off the Weigh Platform. The
display will show positive and negative values. If the scale goes over its weight limit, the display
will say "Over Range". When the battery becomes low the display will say "Low Battery" (steady
at first but flashing when the scale is about to shut off). When the battery power is too low to get an
accurate reading, only "Change Battery" will show on the display. If the scale cannot auto zero
because maximum weight is exceeded during initialization, the message "Remove Weight" will be
displayed.
Auto Shut Off: To extend battery life, the Wey-TEK Scale will shut off if the weight reading does
not change for more than 30 minutes. When restarted after an auto shut off, the Wey-TEK will step
through the initialization test and automatically zero. There is a provision in the Wey-TEK's
software to disable the auto shut off feature. Contact INFICON for instructions.

Warranty
INFICON warrants your Wey-TEK to be free from defects of materials or workmanship for two (2)
years from date of purchase. INFICON does not warrant items that deteriorate under normal use,
including batteries. INFICON does not warrant any instrument that has been subjected to misuse,
negligence or accident or has been repaired or altered by anyone other than INFICON.
This warranty is a replacement warranty for two (2) years. INFICON will not repair a unit within
the warranty period. Out of warranty repair can be arranged by returning the unit to your local
distributor.

La balanza Wey-TEK, y el Módulo de carga que la acompaña, ofrecen un diseño innovador en la
medición y carga de refrigerante. Utilice la balanza Wey-TEK para realizar recuperaciones
manuales y/o mediciones de carga. De forma alternativa, agregue el Módulo de carga para obtener

balanza individual Wey-TEK. Cada componente es intercambiable con otras balanzas Wey-TEK y

Balanza de carga de refrigerante Wey-TEK
El número limitado de controles de la balanza Wey-TEK permiten una operación sencilla. Consulte
el diagrama al reverso de la página para conocer la ubicación de los elementos de la balanza.
A Cable de comunicación: El cable de comunicación conecta la Plataforma de peso con la Pieza
de control manual. Inserte un extremo del cable en cada componente. Asegúrese de que, al conectar
el cable, éste haga "clic", indicando que ha quedado bien sujeto.
B Pila: La balanza Wey-TEK funciona con una pila alcalina de 9 voltios. Instale la pila abriendo la
puerta de acceso, ubicada en la parte trasera de la pieza de control manual, y enchufándola al
conector.
C Interruptor de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO: Pulse el botón una vez para encender o apagar la
balanza Wey-TEK. Una vez encendida, la balanza Wey-TEK realizará una prueba de inicialización.
D Selección de unidad: La balanza Wey-TEK mostrará las medidas de peso en libras (XXX,XX
lb), libras y onzas (XXX lb XX,XX oz) o kilogramos (XXX,XX kg). Pulse este botón para alternar
entre selecciones.
E Tara (Cero): Este botón le permite poner la balanza Wey-TEK en ceros manualmente en
cualquier momento durante su funcionamiento. NOTA: Al momento de encenderla, la balanza
Wey-TEK se pone en ceros automáticamente.
F Pantalla: Indica la cantidad de peso que se ha puesto en o quitado de la Plataforma de peso. La
pantalla muestra valores positivos y negativos. Si la balanza sobrepasa su límite de peso, la pantalla
muestra el siguiente mensaje: "Rango excedido". Cuando se descarga la pila, la pantalla muestra el
siguiente mensaje: "Pila baja" (este mensaje permanecerá constante al inicio, pero comenzará a
destellar cuando la balanza esté a punto de apagarse). Si la carga de la pila es demasiado baja para
obtener una lectura exacta, la pantalla únicamente muestra el mensaje "Cambiar pila". Si la balanza
no puede ponerse en ceros automáticamente debido a que se ha sobrepasado el peso máximo
durante la inicialización, se mostrará el mensaje "Quitar peso".
Apagado automático: Para alargar la vida útil de la pila, la balanza Wey-TEK se apagará si la
lectura de peso no cambia durante más de 30 minutos. Cuando se reinicia después de un apagado
automático, la balanza Wey-TEK realiza la prueba de inicialización y se pone en ceros
automáticamente. Existe una provisión en el software de la balanza Wey-TEK que permite
deshabilitar la función de apagado automático. Contacte con INFICON para obtener instrucciones.

por terceros ajenos a INFICON.
Esta es una garantía de reemplazo válida durante dos (2) años. INFICON no reparará una unidad
dentro del período de garantía. Las reparaciones fuera de la garantía pueden coordinarse
devolviendo la unidad al distribuidor local.
