Fitting overload relay to contactors
The overload relay is supplied with a mounting/coupling bracket for
fitting into the 10hp direct on-line starter, 25A (AC1) 'ACCESS'
contactor and size 1 'MAX 0' control relays and contactors.
alternative bracket supplied should be used when connecting the
overload relay to the size 2-4 pole 'MAX 0' series of contactors (see
figure 2).
When connecting the overload relay, ensure that the terminal screws of
the contactor are loosened and that the connecting blades are fully
inserted into the contactor terminals. The coupling bracket should be
positioned in the appropriate mounting slot/hole in the contactors
moulding (see figure 3).
General
Fitted to the overload, this unit provides a wire in/wire out facility for
remotely mounted overloads relay on a flat surface.
Fitting adaptor to overload relay
When connecting the adaptor to the overload relay, ensure that the
termination screws on the adaptor are loosened and that the
connecting blades on the overload relay are fully inserted into the
adaptor terminals The mounting coupling bracket should be re-fitted as
in Figure 4.
