1 Applications
The charging case is designed for the transmitters
– UF-20TB / 5, R-4TBM / 5, RU-G3TB / 5
(pocket transmitters)
– JSS-20 / 5, JSS-4B / 5
(hand-held wireless microphones)
The charging case can be used to transport the
transmitters and to charge NiMH batteries that
have been inserted into the transmitters. The
charging case offers eight charging slots, allow-
ing you to charge the batteries of eight transmit-
ters at the same time.
2 Safety Notes
The units (charging case and power supply unit)
correspond to all relevant directives of the EU and
are therefore marked with
WARNING The power supply unit uses danger-
ous mains voltage. Leave servicing
to skilled personnel only. Inexpert
handling may result in electric shock.
Only use the charging case for charging NiMH
batteries. Non-rechargeable batteries may leak
or even explode if you try to charge them!
Always insert batteries of the same type into
the transmitter and always replace the batter-
ies in pairs.
The units are suitable for indoor use only. Pro-
tect them against dripping water, splash water
and high air humidity. The admissible ambient
temperature range is 0 – 40 °C.
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the
units, e. g. a drinking glass.
The heat produced inside the charging case
must be dissipated by air circulation; never
cover the air vents in the case.
Immediately disconnect the power supply unit
from the mains socket
1. if the units or the mains cable are visibly
damaged,
2. if a defect might have occurred after a unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case, the units must be repaired by
skilled personnel.
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the
plug.
For cleaning, use a dry, soft cloth; never use
water or chemicals.
Vertrieb von JTS-Produkten – Distribution of JTS products
No guarantee claims for the units and no liabil-
ity for any resulting personal or material dam-
age will be accepted, if the units are used for
other purposes than originally intended, if they
are not correctly connected or operated, or if
they are not repaired in an expert way.
Never put batteries in the household waste. To
protect the environment, always take them to a
special waste disposal, e. g. collection container at
your retailer.
3 Opening /Closing the Case
To remove the case cover, open the butterfly locks
at the long sides of the case: To open a lock, turn
the butterfly-shaped handle counterclockwise so
that the hook disengages.
To close the case again, put the cover on the
case, press the hook at each lock against the
cover and turn the handle clockwise so that the
.
hook engages.
4 Charging Batteries
1) Remove the cover:
Attention: To avoid overheating, do not close
the case while charging!
2) The case is provided with a power supply unit
(with separate mains cable). For transport, it
is secured in the case with Velcro fasteners.
Connect the power supply unit to the jack DC
INPUT in the case and then via the mains cable
to a mains socket (230 V/ 50 Hz). The power LED
on the power supply unit will light up.

Charging Case
3) To switch on the charger, set the POWER switch
to ON. As long as a charging slot is empty, its
LED
is permanently green.
4) Place the transmitters with the batteries in-
serted into the charging slots. Place only one
transmitter into each slot: either a wireless
microphone or a pocket transmitter! While the
batteries are being charged, the LED
corresponding slot will keep flashing in green.
If the LED "Alert" next to it starts flashing in
red, an error has been detected (e. g. battery
defective).
5) When the batteries of a unit have been fully
recharged, the LED
of the corresponding slot
will be permanently green again: The unit can
be removed from the slot.
6) To switch off the charger, set the POWER switch
to OFF: The LEDs of the charging slots will go
out.
The power supply unit will have a low power
consumption even when the charger has been
switched off; therefore, disconnect the power
supply unit from the mains socket when the
case is not used for charging.
