IMPORTANT: Read carefully before installing fixture.
Retain for future reference.
WARNING
Risk of electrical shock, Disconnect power at fuse
or circuit breaker before installing or servicing.
WARNING
Risk of Fire Supply conductors (power wires)
connecting the fixture must be rated minimum
90°C. If uncertain, consult an electrician.
INSTALLATION
General Installation for All Modules:
Lamp modules can be installed into platforms before
installation into the ceiling or after the ceiling is
installed. When possible, use top access feature to
install module prior to housing installation. Modules
can be installed at 0°, 90°, 180° and 270° orientations
and may be rotated to any desired position. Alignment
tabs and slots have been selectively painted for
identification to aid with installation.
Top Accesse:
Loosen thumb screw securing platform top and pivot
open to provide access to mounting locations and
electrical connections.
N otee: Lamp capsule may be installed into mechanism
prior to installation into platform. Refer to steps
5 & 6. After completing module installation close
top access door and tighten thumb screw.
Through Aperturee:
To access mounting locations and electrical
connections remove overspray protector and set aside.
Install module and reinstall overspray protector to
protect interior of platform from paint and construction
debris.
CAUTION
To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure that power
supply is turned off before installing or servicing fixture.
For your safety read and understand instruction completely
before beginning installation.
IRiS recessed luminaires (fixtures) are designed
N otee:
to meet the latest NEC requirements and are UL/
cUL listed in full compliance with UL 1598. Before
attempting installation of any recessed lighting
luminaire check your local electrical code. This code
sets the wiring standards for your locality and should
be carefully studied before starting.
1. Loosen thumb screws holding access door. Disengage
thumb screws by sliding to the right and remove from
platform.
2. Insert MA4 access door / transformer combination
into platform and position door to replace original
door (transformer facing outward). Slide door to the
left and tighten thumb screws to secure in place
(Figure 1.). For through aperture installation, pass
access door / transformer through aperture (Figure 5.)
and install as described above.
