Installation/Removal of a handpiece onto/
Installation
• The BA Brand Airmotor accepts E-type handpieces with external
spray. Insert the sleeve of the airmotor into the back-end of the E-type
handpiece until it is securely locked accompanied by an audible snap.
• Make sure that the attachment is securely installed onto the airmotor
by trying to pull it gently with the fingers before use.
Removal
• Hold the airmotor with one hand and
the handpiece with the other hand, let-
ting the hands overlap each other.
• Pull the handpiece off from the airmo-
tor. Do not separate the overlapped
hands until the lock is released.
Warning
• Never use the airmotor, if the handpiece cannot be smoothly installed
onto or removed from the airmotor. In such a case, consult BA Inter-
national Ltd. or an accredited BA certified Service Centre.
Operation
• Set the air pressure gauge to 29 psi (0.2Mpa) to 42 psi (0.29Mpa).
• Before operation, make a trial run and make sure that:
- The drive-air is not leaking from be-
tween the connecting part of the air-
motor back-end and tubing connector.
- Changes in the rotating direction and
rotating speed can be affected with
the control ring as shown.
- When the ring is turned in "F" direc-
tion, the handpiece installed onto the
airmotor rotates clockwise.
- When the ring is turned in "R" direc-
tion, the handpiece installed onto the
airmotor rotates anticlockwise.
- The rotation is stopped at the centre position between "F" and "R".
• Select the rotating direction and the speed by manipulating the ring
according to the treatment purposes.
External Spray System: A spray outlet is externally made. 20cm tubing
with clamp for contra angle handpiece and straight handpiece installed
onto the BA-603 airmotor are supplied separately as an option, if Spray,
water or chip air is needed, connect the tubing to the water outlet, cut-
ting it in an appropriate length.
Warning
• Whenever abnormality in performance, sound level, heat level, func-
tion, etc. is sensed, stop using the airmotor immediately and consult
BA International Ltd. or an accredited BA certified Service Centre.
• Never dismantle or alter the airmotor in any way.
• Never install/remove the handpiece onto/from the airmotor whilst the
airmotor is in operation.
Caution
• Never operate the airmotor with the drive-air pressure exceeding 42
psi (0.29Mpa), as the excess drive-air may cause critical damage to
the internal mechanism.
• Never operate the airmotor without installing a handpiece.
