Flammable material
In case the room walls are made of flammable material to secure its protection is necessary. The walls should be
shielded by the inflammable plate insertion, which does not absorb the heat, for instance Fermacell, Rigidur,
which are classified as class A1 (former M0). This material application must conform to recommendations of the
manufacturer.
Safe distance
The safety distance of flammable materials or those which may be damaged with heat from the stove shall be 60
cm at least
Environment
The stove can be used solely within the non-explosive environment, where none product is able to release the
flammable gases.
Vmc
With Vmc systems, which operate on basis of negative pressure, the occurrence of some problems when heating
with wood is possible, particularly within the phase of making the fire. The proper dimension of the air inlet
could solve the matter. The same solution applies when the Vmc is switching off when we start making the fire in
the stove combustion chamber.
Installation testing
When the installation is closed, the implementation of the test by means of fume insert must be carried out to
verify the proper operation of the whole equipment, safe sealing of the flue-gas ducting and connection of the
main flue to the chimney. The safe distance from flammable materials (how specified in the installation) must be
kept.
Glass
Glass-ceramic surface can be purified by means of wet cloth with addition of the cold ashes. Application of blunt
edge of the glassman knife is possible as well. The chemical means application is prohibited.
Safety
The improper application of the heating device for wood (fireplaces, inserts, stoves, boilers) could have the
serious consequences. The recommendations stated below apply for all devices for heating with wood.
Fire inside the chimney
The reason of fire inside the chimney could be the improper manipulation of the chimneysweeper or soot
congestion in the chimney. In case the fire occurs in the chimney, the front draft stopper should be closed
immediately and calling the fire brigade is necessary. The application of the extinguish insert should positively
influence the damping of the fire in chimney. This insert should be situated near the stove. As soon as the fire in
the chimney occurs, the thorough check of the stove, connected ducting, chimney, flue-gas ducting, rooftop exit
and the flammable materials is necessary. As far as some imperfection is found, it is strictly prohibited to use the
stove until a repair is carried out.
Carbon monoxide detector/fire detector
Carbon monoxide is an invisible, smell-free gas, non-irritating and has high toxicity. It is the cause of frequent
poisoning in households, which sometimes are deadly when the detector is not installed. The intoxication is
exhibited by headaches, exhaustion and nausea. The carbon monoxide detector installation is the way how to
prevent the risks. From 2015 the fire detector installation in the households shall be obligatory.
