8. To reassemble the desiccant canister (cont'd):
c. Install a new lubricated "O"-Ring in the groove at the bottom
of the center tube unit. (Item 4 - Kit Contents)
d. Insert a new desiccant bag (Item 2 - Kit Contents) in the
center tube. Push or shake bag down until desiccant is
seated in the bottom of the cylinder.
e. Install desiccant follower with skirt side toward the
desiccant bag.
f.
Install intermediate cylinder on center tube assembly making
sure the "O"-Ring is not pinched when cylinder is seated.
g. Set aside entire assembly.
9. To service the top cover:
a. Remove inlet and outlet air lines and move to one side.
b. Using a 1.5" wrench, remove the check valve end cap.
Remove the spring and valve disc. Discard disc. Remove
the "O"-Ring from the cap. Discard the "O"-Ring.
c. Remove the six 1/2" hex flange nuts retaining the cover.
Tap the cover lightly with a plastic or brass hammer to loosen.
Lift off the cover.
d. Remove and discard all three "O"-Rings.
e. Clean the top cover with a clean cloth.
f.
Clean the interior wall of the dryer housing.
10. To reassemble the top cover:
a. Install three new lubricated "O"-Rings (Items 3, 4 and 5 -
Kit Contents) on the top cover.
b. Install the top cover on the six top studs and press the cover
down into place.

10. To reassemble the top cover (cont'd):
c. Install the six 1/2" hex flange nuts and draw cover down
evenly. Tighten the nuts and torque to 100-150 in.lbs.
d. Install new check valve seal (Item 6 - Kit Contents) with rubber
side down. Install check valve spring with smallest diameter
toward the seal.
e. Install new lubricated "O"-Ring on check valve end cap
(Item 7 - Kit Contents).
f. Install end cap. Tighten and torque to 35-50 ft.lbs.
11. Retrieve desiccant assembly. Position the spring on the top of
the desiccant follower. Insert the entire assembly into the dryer
housing from the bottom. When inserted fully, the top cover
"O"-Rings should retain the desiccant assembly.
12. To reinstall the lower cover:
a. Install new lubricated "O"-Ring on the sealing flange of the
lower cover. (Item 3 - Kit Contents)
b. Install the lower cover on the six bottom studs and press the
cover into place.
c. Install the six 1/2" hex flange nuts and draw the cover up
evenly. Tighten the nuts and torque to 100-150 in.lbs.
13. Reconnect inlet, outlet and purge valve air lines.
14. Reconnect heater wires.
15. Proceed to operational checks on reverse side.
