ATTENUATION start flashing . All filters are reset
and deactivated . Then set the control SENSI-
TIVITY back to the previous position: All filters
will be reassigned .
9) If the Update mode has been activated (LED
of the button HOLD FILTERS off) and if there
is no more feedback at the maximum volume
required, you may try to reduce the maximum
attenuation of the filters (30 dB) in order to
minimize changes in sound due to the filters .
For this purpose, press the button AUTO /
FIXED ATTENUATION; the LED of the button
lights up . As long as no feedback occurs, the
attenuation of the notch filters is automatically
reduced in steps of 2 dB . If feedback occurs
again, the corresponding filters will be reset to
an attenuation of 30 dB . However, if the auto-
matic attenuation results in feedback occurring
more frequently, deactivate the function with
the button AUTO / FIXED ATTENUATION .
Note: In the Hold mode (LED above the button HOLD
FILTERS on), the filters are always set to maximum
attenuation . The button AUTO / FIXED ATTENUATION
has no effect in this case .
10) So far the feedback detection has been set to
maximum sensitivity with the control SENSI-
TIVITY . This is the optimum setting for speech
applications . If there is no feedback when
reproducing music, you may try to reduce the
sensibility .
For this purpose, gradually turn the con-
trol counterclockwise to the position MIN . As
soon as feedback occurs, turn back the con-
trol accordingly . The lower the sensitivity, the
lower the probability of eliminating frequencies
which are part of the music signal and not
feedback frequencies . With a low sensitivity,
however, there is a higher risk of feedback .
11) After operation, switch off the feedback elimi-
nator with the POWER switch . If the unit is not
in use for a longer period of time, disconnect
the power supply unit from the socket to pre-
vent unnecessary power consumption .
