CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
2. Do not immerse in water or any other liquids.
3. Avoid using abrasive products or materials; they will scratch the
surface.
4. Lift lid.
5. Remove upper hinge covers
from both sides of unit by pulling
upward from the corner.
6. Wash hinge covers with mild
dish-washing soap, rinse and
thoroughly dry.
7. Wipe hinges, around components,
and chamber vacuum surfaces with
a warm, damp cloth to clean off any
food residue.
8. Dry thoroughly before reassembling chamber vacuum.
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service
representative.
NOTE: The foam gaskets around the vacuum chamber should
be dried thoroughly before re-assembling. Be careful when
re-assembling to prevent any damage, and assemble in original
position to ensure no vacuum leaking.
MAINTENANCE KIT INSTRUCTIONS
• Replacing the gasket:
1. Turn the main power ON/OFF switch to OFF. Remove the power
cord from the electrical outlet.
2. Make sure the unit is completely cool.
3. Open the cover. (Fig. 1)
4. Remove the gasket from the groove by gently pulling down in
the Plastic Vacuum Chamber. (Fig. 2)
5. Set a new gasket on the groove in the Plastic Vacuum Chamber.
Work the seal into the groove with your fingers until firmly in
place. (Fig. 3)
6. If the gasket does not fit properly, the machine's performance
will be affected.
