RANGE
It is possible to adjust the range of the photocells by placing a jumper on the transmitters.
Jumper JP1 with a range of 40 m (factory setting)

Jumper JP1 with a range of 15 m

- After affixing the plastic bases of the NOVA photocells, insert the circuit boards into the
proper places on the bases and attach them with the supplied screws.
- Power to the photocells.
- The green LED of the TX transmitters should come on.
- The red LED of the RX receiver comes on when the photocells are aligned to each other.
If the red LED does not come on follow the alignment procedure indicated.
ALIGNMENT
- NOVA photocells are shipped with central alignment, however, if necessary, it is possible
to adjust the optical units of the transmitter and receiver (+90°/-90° horizontally and
+5°/-5° vertically).
- After alignment the red LED on the receiver should be constant, indicating correct reception
of the infrared signal generated by the transmitter.
If the red LED flashes => it means that the signal is weak and therefor the alignment must
be adjusted until the red LED is constant.
- If the transmitter and the receiver are mounted at a distance of less than 10 meters from
each other, we advise positioning the jumper JP1 as indicated in the paragraph "RANGE".
- Mount the protective casings.

SYSTEM CHECK
SYNCHRONIZATION:
- Place an object in front of the transmitter.
- Check that the red LED of the corresponding receiver turns off.
NO SYNCHRONIZATION:
- Place an object in front of the transmitter and then in front of the receiver.
- Check that the red LED of the receivers is off in both cases.
