Operation
Testing a Data Cable Terminated with RJ45 Connectors
WARNING:
Never test a cable that is connected to live equipment.
Exposure to voltage can damage the tester.
Tester
1. Connect one end the cable under test to the RJ45 port on the tester.
2. Detach the remote from the bottom of the tester.
3. Connect the other end of the cable under test to the RJ45 port on the remote.
4. Momentarily press the TEST button.
5. If all four pairs on a data cable are properly wired,
the LEDs for each pair will flash green in the sequence
shown below:

If the LEDs flash out of the sequence, the wire pairs are miss-connected
at one end of the cable. If an LED does not flash or flashes red,
the corresponding pair is miswired.
