Further use of a cartridge already in use
• Wind a new dynamic mixer onto the same mixing unit
and begin the new application (material no longer has
to be discarded). Proceed with the application as
described above.
Instructions for use: Cartridge material for use
in VOCO Dispenser Typ 2
Insert the cartridge into the VOCO Dispenser Typ 2.
Ensure that the notches on the cartridge base are point-
ing down. The clasp will not close if the cartridge is not
properly inserted into the dispenser.
Remove the cartridge cap. The cap can be replaced after
initial use.
Advance plunger into cartridge and dispense a small
amount of impression material until equal amounts are
extruded at the same rate.
Install a mixing tip on the cartridge and turn cap 90
degrees in a clockwise direction to lock in place.
Inject the required amount of material, e.g., directly into
the tray or the preliminary impression. To apply the mate-
rial around the prepared teeth use the cartridge with an
intraoral tip type 3/type 6 on the mixer.
Replace the plug after use. Before using the cartridge
again, remove the cartridge cap or the filled mixing tip
and check the cartridge outlet openings to ensure that
no polymerized materials have sealed the openings. Clear
any clogged openings and dispense a small amount of
impression material until equal amounts are extruded at
the same rate.
Install a new mixing tip and continue as described above.
Storage:
Store in a dry place at room temperature; do not expose
to sunlight and avoid exposure to extreme temperature
fluctuations.
Disinfection:
Impressions can be disinfected using for example, a
2 % acidic glutaraldehyde solution. Use disinfection solu-
tions specific for impression materials.
See manufacturer instructions.
Electroplating:
Impressions may be silver-plated with an alkaline-plating
solution only.
Model preparation:
For model fabrication, the impression can be poured
immediately after disinfection. Impressions can also be
poured within two weeks with standard dental stone (class
III - V).
