The Whale® Shower Waste System is designed to collect waste water from shower trays and sinks, then automatically
trigger the electric field sensor to activate the pump.

Read the following instructions carefully before installation and use of equipment.
4. TO THE FITTER
Check that the product is suitable for the intended application, follow these installation instructions and ensure all
relevant personnel read the points listed below. Also ensure that these operating instructions are passed on to the end
user.
5. APPLICATION
This Whale Shower Sump System is designed for use in marine vessels to pump grey waste water only.
6. WARNINGS
1. NOTE - This pump must not be mounted below the water line when connected to an intake or outlet unless the
system has a vented loop.
2. POLARITY SENSITIVE - Reversed wiring will cause switch and pump failure.
3. Do not cut wires as this will damage the connections and invalidate the warranty.
4. Do not drill through hull, ensure that the product is mounted to additional board or bulkhead.
5. NOT suitable for pumping flammable liquids, diesel, chemicals etc. For use in a grey waste water system only.
6. The Whale® Shower Sump System is designed for installation in marine vessels only. If it is intended for use for
any other purpose or with any other liquid, it is the user's responsibility to ensure that the unit is suitable for the
intended use and, in particular, that the materials are fully compatible with the liquids to be used. The Whale®
Shower Sump System is NOT suitable for domestic applications.
7. With all applications, it is important that a system of safe working practice is applied to installation, use and
maintenance. Ensure the electric supply is turned off before commencing installation.
8. Electrical wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

8. INSTALLATION
WARNING: Please note that incorrect installation may invalidate the warranty.
Preparation - Always disconnect power sources before installing.

To ensure the electric field sensor switch correctly operates, the sump box must be mounted on a flat even surface.
