• Make sure the thermometer has been
at room temperature for 15 minutes
before use.
• To avoid damage to probe, do not bend
beyond 45°.
• Do not drop the thermometer as this may
ruin the unit.
MEASURING:
NOTE: Be sure probe tip is clean before
using. See Care and Cleaning.
While thermometer is OFF, press the ON/
OFF button to enter to the mode selection
between Body, Water and Ambient
mode. After mode selection completed,
thermometer is ready for use.
Press the ON/OFF button. You will hear
a short beep then all segments (as shown)
will display for 1 second with red backlight
for 0.5 seconds and then green backlight
for 0.5 seconds. This is a function check
indicating the unit is working properly. Then
enter to the mode selection.
1. BODY MODE:
Display
and
backlight for 3 seconds, if no pressing
within 3 seconds, a short beep sound
is heard, then last memory will display
and then display "-", "- -", "- - -" circularly
to start measuring. A long beep (stay for
1 second) is heard when temperature
during 89.6°F~99.5°F (34°C~37.5°C)
with green backlight displayed. 4 times
Bi-bi is heard when temperature higher
than 99.5°F/37.5°C with red backlight
displayed. 2 times Bi-bi is heard first,then
4 times Bi-bi is heard when temperature
higher than 109.2°F /42.9°C with icon
and red backlight displayed.

2. WATERBATH MODE:
Press button with a short beep to switch
to waterbath mode
The temperature will be changed
without backlight until thermometer
auto off after 5 minutes. Readings will
be displayed when temperature during
41°F ~122°F (5°C ~50°C) within
approximately 8 seconds.
3. AMBIENT MODE:
Press button with a short beep to switch
to ambient mode
The temperature will be changed
without backlight until thermometer
auto off after 5 minutes. Readings will
be displayed when temperature during
14°F ~122°F (-10°C ~50°C) within
approximately 8 seconds.
Read and record the temperature and
time for reference. The reading will
automatically be stored in memory, but it
is recommended to read and record the
temperature and time for later reference.
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the
thermometer OFF. If you do not turn
the thermometer OFF manually, the
thermometer will shut off automatically in
approximately 5 minutes.
RECTAL USE (BODY MODE):
• Commonly used for babies, young
children or when it is difficult to take an
oral or underarm temperature.
• Lubricate probe tip with a water-soluble
lubricant or petroleum jelly.
• Gently insert the probe tip no more than
1/2 inch (1.3 cm) into the rectum. Do not
force the tip into the rectum if resistance is
encountered.
