Operating the device for the first time
Your weather station requires 5 batteries in total:
• 3 batteries of the "1.5 V, AA" type for the main device, and

• 2 batteries of the "1.5 V, AAA" type for the external sensor.

We have already inserted the batteries for you. To protect against
premature discharging, there is an isolating strip between the

poles. Please remove this from the main device and the external
sensor when you operate the device for the first time.
You can either mount both devices on a flat surface or hang them
25 on the wall. At the back of the devices you will find appropriate

If you have decided to mount the devices, please take the base of
the main device from the packaging and slide it on the case from

below. Both of the guide pins of the base then disappear in the
case
On the bottom of the external sensor you will find an unfoldable
stabiliser. Push a sharp object into the gap and completely unfold
the stabiliser. Now you can stand the external sensor on a level
surface. The distance from the main device may not exceed 30 m
in open-air sorroundings. When the devices are situated within
buildings the highest possible gap must be correspondingly
reduced, or radio communication will not be attained.

Changing the batteries

The upper battery supplies the analogue DCF clock with
electricity, and the bottom two supply the LCD display and its
functions. Therefore, if the clock no longer functions correctly,
you should replace the upper battery. If the display is blurred or
does not appear at all, or if the radio transmission of the
measuring data no longer functions, please change the lower two

Changing the batteries of the indoor thermometer

Open the battery compartment. For this press the lock of the

battery compartment lid downwards and take the lid off.

Put aside the battery compartment lid and take out the old
batteries.

25 Now insert fresh batteries of the "1.5 V AA" type according to
the schema shown in the battery compartment, and close the
battery compartment again.
