Notes on disposal
Ø
According to European regulations [ DIRECTIVE
2002/96/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND
OF THE COUNCIL of 27 January 2003 on waste and
electrical and electronic equipment (WEE)] used
electric and electronic devices may no longer be
placed in unsorted municipal waste. They must be collected
separately. The symbol of the waste bin on wheels indicates
the necessity of separate collection.
Ø
Do your part to help protect the environment and make sure
100
that when you no longer wish to use this device, you place it in
the separate waste collection systems designated for this
95
purpose.
Ø
In Germany you are legally obliged [according to the law on
75
the bringing into circulation, return and environmentally
friendly disposal of electric and electronic devices (Elektro-
und Elektronikgerätegesetz – ElektroG) of 16 March 2005] to
take old devices to a collection point which is separate from
25
the unsorted municipal waste. Those responsible for the
disposal under public law (the town councils) have made
5
collection points for this purpose at which old devices from
private household are accepted free of charge. It may be that
0
the legally responsible parties also collect these old devices
free of charge from private households.
