conjugate bind to any circulating Distemper antigens present in
the sample. The resulting conjugate/antigen complexes migrate
along the membrane via capillarity. They are captured by specific
antibodies that are bound to the membrane, forming a pink test
band by accumulation of coloured particles. The mixture continues
to migrate along the strip to the end of the membrane where the
remaining coloured particles form a pink control band, which
confirms the validity of the test.
n PROCEDURE
FOR EACh TEsT yOU WILL NEED:
1 test device, 1 swab, 1 single-use pipette, and 1 dropper bottle of
extraction solution.
The reagents should be used at room temperature.
Do not mix reagents from different batches
1/ ADD ThE sAMPLE:
- Conjunctival, nasal, ocular, or buccal swabs: unload the swab in
the extraction solution, pressing it against the wall of the bottle,
then shake.
- Serum, plasma, or urine: with a single-use pipette, add 2 or 3
drops of sample to the extraction solution bottle, then shake.
2/ ADD ThE REAgENT:
- With a single-use pipette held vertically, add 4 drops of the
extraction solution to the sample well.
- If migration has not started within 2 minutes, add an extra 2 drops
of sample solution to the sample well.
