inserting a pole set into it. See diagram: the upper grey
tunnel now contains a pole set, the tunnel below not yet. Now you can insert a pole set into
this tunnel (again with two people, as described above).
f. The first three tent tunnels now contain a pole set. In the 4th (bottom) tunnel push through 2
pole sets at the same time. Pay attention to the following; a pole set is made up of 9 (size M)
or 11 (size L) pole parts, connected by an elastic cord. The first and last pole part of each pole
set are not the same: One pole part having 2 metal sleeves and the other pole part only 1. You
should insert the two pole sets in exactly the same way (thus with the same pole part in front),
at the same time, into the 4th tunnel.
Also, make sure that the pole sets are sticking out of the tunnels equally on either end of the
tunnel.
g. Now fold over the 4th / last layer of canvas neatly on
top of the other 3 layers. Now you can see
the (hazy) SunnyTent logo, which is on the bottom canvas layer. See diagram.
h. The first curved head-section of the tent is now complete. Repeat the same process for the
second head-section.
Step 5: Secure the tent poles on to the hinge anchors.
Each head-section of the tent needs to be secured onto opposite facing anchors. To do this, first lay
down both head sections on the right place on the ground. See diagram for the end result.
a. Two people should gather up the first head-section (with poles).
Attention: do not pull the tent poles, but carry the entire
head-section.
Then, at one end, place it on the ground, in such a way
that the poles are inside the first anchor, sticking out
approximately 20 cm. beyond this anchor.
Then, the other end of the head-section needs to be placed
on the ground, also in such a way that the poles are inside the
second anchor, sticking out approximately 20 cm. beyond this anchor.
Do this by walking while carrying this end of the head-section in the direction of the second
anchor. This will require some force.
Result: The head-section is as it were squeezed between the two anchors on the ground.
Do this for both head-sections.
Make sure that you don't inadvertently turn over the head-section while moving it: The
SunnyTent logo sticker should be on the bottom canvas layer (then it's correct).
b. Now place the 5 pole sets onto the 5 anchor pins.
• Start and finish this completely at one anchor, before starting at the next anchor.
• One person will need to stand on the inside of the tent and lift the pole sets in the right order
behind the anchor.
• The other person will stand on the outside and twist the hinge / block with pins in such a way
that the two pins that do not rotate, point more or less upwards. Then, this person places the
bottom pole set on the first / lower pin of the anchor.
➢ Please note: The second person has to prevent pushing the pole set further into the tent
tunnel (this is undesirable, because it may result in the pole set sticking out more at one
