Your Bamboo Cutting Board
Your new bamboo cutting board is 16 percent harder than maple,
making it a superior material for cutting board. Bamboo cutting
boards are handcrafted using flattened strips bonded together. Then,
with a special heating process, the natural sugar in the wood is
caramelized producing the beautiful honey color.
Bamboo is an ecologically responsible alternative to the wide- spread
clear cutting of our world's hard- wood forests. It is a grass that grows
to a harvestable height in three or four years. Some species of bamboo
can grow two feet (61cm) per day. Bamboo has an extensive root
system that continually sends up new shoots, naturally replenishing
itself. It does not require replanting making it one of the world's mosts
renewable resources.

Care and Cleaning

Wash with warm water and a mild detergent. Occasionally wipe with
mineral oil if necessary.
Do not clean in a dishwasher.
