Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
power tools.
f)
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are
less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g)
Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits
etc., in accordance with these instructions
taking into account the working conditions and
the work to be performed. Use of the power tool
for operations different from those intended could
result in a hazardous situation.
h)
Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean
and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and
grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and
control of the tool in unexpected situations.
5) Service
a)
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power
tool is maintained.

When performing drilling that requires the use of
a)
water, route the water away from the operator's
work area or use a liquid collection device. Such
precautionary measures keep the operator's work
area dry and reduce the risk of electrical shock.
Operate power tool by insulated grasping
b)
surfaces, when performing an operation where
the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring
or its own cord. Cutting accessory contacting a
"live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the
power tool "live " and could give the operator an
electric shock.
Wear hearing protection when diamond drilling.
c)
Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.

Investigate and take corrective actions to eliminate
the cause of the bit jamming.
When restarting a diamond drill in the workpiece
e)
check that bit rotates freely before starting. If the
bit is jammed, it may not start, may overload the tool,
or may cause the diamond drill to release from the
workpiece.
When securing the drill stand with anchors and
f)
fasteners to the workpiece, ensure that the
anchoring used is capable of holding and
restraining the machine during use. If the
workpiece is weak or porous, the anchor may pull
out causing the drill stand to release from the
workpiece.

When securing the drill stand with a vacuum pad
g)
to the workpiece, install the pad on a smooth,
clean, non-porous surface. Do not secure to
laminated surfaces such as tiles and composite
coating. If the workpiece is not smooth, flat or well
affixed, the pad may pull away from the workpiece.
Ensure there is sufficient vacuum level before
h)
and during drilling. If the vacuum level is
insufficient, the pad may release from the workpiece.
Never perform drilling with the machine secured
i)
by the vacuum pad only, except when drilling
downward. If the vacuum is lost, the pad will release
from the workpiece.
When drilling through walls or ceilings, ensure
j)
to protect persons and the work area on the
other side. The bit may extend through the hole or
the core may fall out on the other side.
Do not use this tool for overhead drilling with
k)
water supply. Water entering the power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
Instructions before use
Read carefully the data reported on the data plate
of your core drill and on the Technical Data sheet
that you will find in the package together with your
product.
In the following text, figures are identified by numbers, details
inside the figures by letters. Figures are depicted on the first
pages of this user manual.
Your core drill motor is suitable to be a part of a diamond core
drill that conforms with the related regulations if the drill motor
is mounted to a proper drill stand fastened by a proper
anchoring system.
Power supply
Earth (Ground)
the metallic parts of your core drill motor are
▪
connected to the earth.
make sure that the socket and possible extension
▪
cords and multiple sockets have the earth
connection and that your electrical system is
properly connected to the earth.
Warning: for your safety, it is important
that the whole system (electrical system,
extension
connected to the earth. If you are not sure,
ask a qualified electrician for a check.
Extension cords
▪
when you have to operate with your core drill motor
far from an electrical socket, you can use an
extension cord. If you use it make sure that the
section of the cord is suitable and that the cord is
provided with ground conductor;
the extension cord (made up of cable, plug and
▪
socket) must be suitable for outdoor use. It is better
if the cord is made of rubber and it is H07RN-F;
follow the chart shown in figure 8 on this manual for
▪
the choice of the right section of the conductors;
if you use more than one extension cord make sure
▪
that every cable in every extension cord has a
section not lower than the value shown on the chart
in figure 8, considering the total length of the
extension cords;
